History of the Videophone

ESSI has been in the audio and visual business since 1957, and in 2014, we became a Konnekt customer to help our Grandmother who had dementia. Using the videophone, we saw a complete change in mood and activity, we had to help others in getting them connected! In 2020, we officially partnered with Konnekt to get more families connected in the simplest way possible.

Captioning

·        Our most popular feature for the hard of hearing/deaf community! The screen will split and show the video of the person you’re talking to and will automatically transcribe what they say. Font and window size can be adjusted as needed, and we can even add in a scrolling option!

Auto Answer

Disability? Dementia? Emergency? Check they’re OK with 2-way video & sound. End the worry!

Adjustable Buttons

·        Large one-touch buttons for shaky hands, low vision, poor hearing, etc. Multiple color options available for less strain on eyes. Personalized contact buttons, text sizes, colors and language. Restore independence with customization!

No Computer Skills Required

·        No logins, passwords, icons or menus! Konnekt does all the set up and any necessary changes for you without a visit.
